Green beans get caramelized and crispy thanks to a high roasting temperature in this easy but elegant side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs green beans. trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup grainy Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F. To a large sheet pan, add the green beans and oil. Toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Spread green beans in an even layer.
- Roast 12–15 min., until golden, stirring halfway. Sprinkle the garlic over green beans. Continue to cook 3–4 min., until green beans are golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk the mustard, brown sugar, vinegar, and 2 tbsp water until smooth and sugar has dissolved. Season with salt to taste.
- Transfer green beans to serving platter. Drizzle mustard sauce on top.
Tips
