This glorious hot chocolate tastes as delicious as it looks. Let your imagination run wild with different toppings.
- 4 oz chocolate chips
- red and green sprinkles
- 1 ½ cups prepared hot chocolate
- ½ cup mini marshmallows
- Place chocolate in a shallow microwave-safe dish. Microwave in 30-sec. Intervals, until melted, stirring between intervals. Dip rims of mugs into chocolate to coat. Add sprinkles to a small dish. Dip the rims of the mugs into the sprinkles to coat. Refrigerate until chocolate sets.
- Pour hot chocolate into mugs and top with donuts and whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts or toasted coconut. Insert candy canes into hot chocolate.
For homemade hot chocolate, heat 1½ cups milk, ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tbsp sugar, and ⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips in a saucepan on medium until melted and smooth, stirring.
